19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," said tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led observers to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and play assertively, supported by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent saved four initial break points in a tight final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a return after a lengthy match.
